I am 20, so what?

Dear Fara,
Today marked the day you're no longer a teen. You are 20 now. Matured enough to stand on your own feet and face the world by yourself. Although your family is distance away from you right now, they are actually very near to you; in your heart. Be strong. They're always there for you. Still, you need to be more independent and try not to rely on others too much. You, yourself who would determine your own success and not others. As you grow old, your responsibilities grow as well. Remember, age is just a number. Do not be afraid of it. Take care of yourself.
Goodbye now. :)

Although it looks weird and they spelled my name wrongly, I still love it.

Thanks for the bracelet Kak Rina. :)

Happy Birthday, Me! :)

I would like to thank my housemates for the cake and the surprise. The black-out thing was really 'nice'. I lost my unsaved work. Grr. Haha. Thank you seniors for the pizzas. Thank you Kak Rina for the cute bracelet. And lastly, many thanks to my family, friends and everyone for the wishes. Have a nice day! :)

p/s : Ma, I know you would read my blog. Thanks for the bag! I'll ask for more presents when I'm back in Malaysia. Hehe. Love you! :P

ETC1000

Business Statistics make my life miserable. Urgh. The first assignment itself was horror. An atrocious assignment I should say. Oh and guess what, we're gonna get the second assignment on the 30th of March! What a date. Sheesh. Playing with the excel stuff is so not cool. I love doing any kind of work on computer but Excel? A big NO. I sacrificed my sleep and I skipped three lectures today because of this first assignment. Haha. Not a good start for a first year student. Lol. Not only me, Adidah and Mad also skipped those lectures! So, I'm not alone! Haha. Oh FYI, I did not influence them.

Okay, let the assignment rest in peace at Menzies building. I don't wanna think about it anymore. There's one more assignment needs to be done which due next Wednesday; Management. I wanna start doing it tomorrow, kot. InsyaAllah. Hehe. Oh somebody belanja pizza today. Thanks Mad! Due to the large size of the pizza slices, everyone was full and there's no space to keep the pizzas.

Some random pics;
This is Menzies Building. Highest building in Clayton.

This is Adidah. Crossing the highway. Lol.

Many apologies

Dear Bloggy,
I am sorry that I have abandon you. I've been very busy with life right now. I'm still trying to suit myself here though it has been a month. Still trying. I hope it won't be long. I don't think I could update you as frequent as before. But I'll try my very best not to abandon you. Sometimes I have no idea what to blog about. There are certain things which I can't publish it here. It's too private. I chose to keep it to myself. I'm sorry. It's the best for everybody. :)

Updates;
I do face some problem in Aussie as what Ili mentioned in the chatbox. But I won't mention that here as there are perhaps certain parties that might came across my blog and read it. I'll be dead by then. Lol. Don't worry. It's nothing serious, seriously.

It's already been a month I'm here in Australia. I am not sure whether I have adapted to the life here. I just go with the flow. Lots of things happened, happy times as well as sorrow. Still trying to make new friends. More friends. It's not hard but it's not that simple tho. Different culture, different approach.

Haih. I have three assignments and also a presentation which the due dates are close to one another. All worth 10percent of the final marks. Yeah of course I'm worried. I have no idea how do I start all of these assignments. Hm. I need guidance.

As I was stressed out with piles of works that needs to be done, I went for ice-skating today in Oakleigh. That actually managed to cheer me up. :) I've been longing to skate duh. The ice rink is much more smaller compared to Pyramid Ice Rink. The funny part was; it feels weird and I was quite shy to skate at first. I feel so small as I was surrounded by Australians. Hoho. But they were nice actually. The staff was willing to teach me more techniques! How cool is that! :DD

No more updates. I just wanna say; I miss my family! I miss my friends! I miss everybody! D':

Nice attempt.

Dear Ili, please update your blog and stop asking me to update mine. HAHA. XD

Holla! My broadband quota has finally been renewed after days of having to pay the excess bill. Sheesh. So here I am; online and updating my blog (As if I have not online for decades. LOL). I'm currently waiting for the internet connection from TPG. I don't think this would be adequate. I wanna watch youtube! Hm, Australia is weird. They have quotas for internet. Haih, pelik! I have lots of stories to share. But I don't wanna blog all of it here. Ask me if you're interested to know more. Okay, let's start with Phillip Island!

Went there with fellow mates and seniors last Sunday. This place is like a 'must go' kinda place here in Victoria. That's what I think lah. A great place for anybody who loves nature. We left Clayton around 10am and arrived an hour and a half later. We went to San Remo Jetty to watch the Pelican feeding, Chocolate Factory, Wildlife Park, Cowes, The Nobbies and Penguin Parade. I don't wish to elaborate cause I'm lazy. Hehe.

Apart from that, I have a hidden 'talent' that I just know about it when I'm here. Hehe. I know some of you would be giggling or even laugh your lungs out to hear this. Me myself can't believe that I can actually cook nice dishes. Lol. XD I think I inherit this from my mom. She's a great cook. Someday, I wish I'll be like her. Hehe. I have attempted Tomyam Seafood, Fish Soup and Chicken Rice. I have never cook any of these before. All of these are my first attempt. Hehe. Luckily it taste good. Hoho.

I think I must stop being perasan now. Till then. Here are some pics;

Weekend

The earthquake in Melbourne has been a great issue today I guess. I did feel it but I thought it's nothing so I kept myself quiet. Hoho. It came out in the news excessively. I don't know whether people in Malaysia knew about this as I don't receive any calls from my parents. Cause they would call if there's anything happen in Aussie. Heh.

Let's stop talking about the earthquake. It makes me scared. Huhu. Hm, it's my third weekend in Clayton already! And also, I've went through one week of uni life. Hoho. Gosh, time is moving really fast. And I hardly believe that I actually could survive by myself in Melbourne. :)

My weekends at the moment has been spent to the max. Lol. I did lotsa activities and went to many places. This morning I played rounders with the seniors. My housemates and I were the only juniors. I did not realize that until I went through the pictures back. Lol. But whatever it is I had fun. Really. They said I'm good at throwing the ball. Hehe. I have never play this game before and never thought of playing it. I want more! XD

Gotta catch my sleep. I'm going to Phillip Island tomorrow! Bye!

Surviving

Hello people. I have started my first lecture yesterday. The first one was fine, quite laid back. But the second one, *shake head*. Lol. I slept in the lecture. Haha. But I did not make a chaos like what somebody did. HAHA. No names would be mention here. ;p

Today was the second day of uni life, as what other people call it. I'm still not use to it. 'UNI' sounds strange and rather old to me. Lol. And today I went for my first tutorial; Principles of Accounting and Finance. Ohh fyi, my tutor looks like Beckham! Hoho. We already have our first ever homework from him. Sheesh. First day dah dpat homework. Urgh.

Neway, today is Adidah's birthday. I have planned with my other housemates to not wish her on the strike of 12midnight or even after that. Hehe. We went to our own rooms and just kept quiet about it. This morning she shouted at me, " Fara ni jahat la. Tak wish kita pun.". Haha and I was like, " Oh yeke. Lupa la. Sorry". I did not wish her although she said that. Evil kan. Hoho.

Actually, we had plan a surprise but we were pretending we're not doing any. We did that late this afternoon with some other seniors. She was surprised! The plan works! It was funny tho. Lol. XD She told us that she was sad that we did not wish her and she had lost hope. No wonder she looks gloomy. Hoho. Sorry Adidah! Happy Birthday lah! :D

I gotta go. I have tute at 9. Tc!

I love this

The Mayonnaise Jar

When things in your life seem, Almost too much to handle,
When 24 Hours in a day is not enough,
Remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee.

A professor stood before his philosophy class

And had some items in front of him.
When the class began, wordlessly,
He picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar
And proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students, if the jar was full.
They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured
them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly.
The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls.

He then asked the students again
If the jar was full... They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand

And poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else.
He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded
With an unanimous 'yes.'

The professor then produced Two cups of coffee from under the table
And poured the entire contents Into the jar, effectively
Filling the empty space between the sand.
The students laughed.

'Now,' said the professor, As the laughter subsided,
'I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life..
The golf balls are t
he important things - God, family,
children, health, friends, and favorite passions –

Things that if everything else was lost

And only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter Like your job, house, and car.

The sand is everything else --
The small stuff.

'If you put the sand into the jar first,' He continued,
'there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls.
The same goes for life.

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff,
You will never have room for the things that are
Important to you.

So...

Pay attention to the things That are critical to your happiness.
Playwith your children.
Take time to get medical checkups.
Take your partner out to dinner.

There will always be time
To clean the house and fix the disposal.

'Take care of the golf
balls first --
The things that really matter.
Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.'

One of the students raised her hand
And inquired what the coffee represented.

The professor smiled.
'I'm glad you asked'.

It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem,
there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.'

Please share this with other "Golf Balls"
